Sweet tooth seem like a really common thing when it comes to being in love. Maybe it sounded alil too general but I feel that it’s so true. Perhaps it’s the adrenaline rush that desserts give you and it makes a couple even happier.
The hmphs, Gourmet Couple went around tasting desserts for the second time at Bakerzin. The first time.. we tried their Warm Chocolate Cake and Creme Bulee. I have to say that their Creme Bulee was one of those fine ones. Particularly love the burnt crisps of the caramel. Too bad i didnt have a photo of it. The pudding beneath the crispy caramel melted into your mouth as the caramel gives it a hint of sweetness and variation. The warm Chocolate cake was very well done this time compared to my experience over at Paragon’s outlet. (where I was served hardened chocolate, omg!) The couple always hunt for good warm chocolate cake and this one has a reasonable comparison to our usual favourite TCC’s one.
The second visit, we tried the Coupé Blackforest and Apple Tart. The Apple Tart was impressive! With layers and layers of fine crust as it’s tart and really fragant! Bakerzin really has it’s own way of whipping up an impressive pastry!
Apple Tart
Coupé Blackforest
The Coupé Blackforest has no cake at all but rather scoops and scoops of ice cream on top of a hard but fragant tart. Its berries were intoxicated with alcohol giving the dish a well balanced sweetness and “bitterness” The brownie was nice and made to be in the sticky form. The chocolate sticks presented around and in the dish were also intoxicated, i feel at least. While it’s a good try… it’s not a must-return compared to the other 3 dishes!
