Happy 33 months, Vampy! Today marks the 33 months of journey we have walked together. You may be wondering this is a 33rd month post, but no.
I have too much backlogs of events to write about. Here we have, the 31st month!
I love the name of the chain – TGIFridays. Definitely appealing to those who wanna take a break off their busy lifestyles. The pace of life over here is sometimes too fast that one really needs our weekend quite badly! I love the colours of the place more. If you walk in and up into the restaurant, its design is actually oriented towards a retro one with quite alot of emphasis on the contrast of red and white.
This American style food chain serves their food mostly with Jack Daniel infused sauces. It does sound appealing and new. Afterall this was one liquor, that we would all at one point in time drink it, especially when we were younger.

Parmesan Crusted Chicken Quesadillas
This is really yumyum! The flour is well pan-fried and coated with yummy parmesan cheese! With a tinge of sour (due to the basil and tomato mix), it really makes you drool, wanting for more. And the chicken was tender, going well with the cheese and basil and tomato! And did i mention? There’s my favourite bacon ! Definitely made the dish doubly thumbs up!
Here comes the limelight of the night! As i was saying, the specialities of the chain was probably their Jack Daniel Grills and steaks. We decided to give our favourite Ribs a try.
And as you might have guessed it, it’s yummy. The ribs were rather tender and well spiced with spices and Jack Daniel. And no, it’s not too strong..just a very light hint of it. But it’s drenched with lotsa lotsa sauce, hiding the grilled fragrance alil too much. It probably allowed us to taste the sauce with the ribs fully but not so much of the essence of the grilled ribs. So go for one if u’re in a mood for some sauce-rich ribs!
Jack Daniel Steak
The man decided to go greedy again. The ribs were probably supposed to be of 2 servings yet he decided to order another steak. Temptations are just so hard to resist! While the steak is probably good and well done and also drenched in Jack Daniel sauce (one different thing), it’s probably not the best steak to me. maybe also because im still avoiding steaks after Morton’s.
You must be amazed how much this man can eat; half of my ribs and his steaks and our appetisers. *applause – as i will never get myself to eat SO much “hmph” manly meat in one meal and maybe even not in a day!
And he decided that he want a beer to go with his steak and a Mojito for me!
I probably havent say this.. I have the weirdest craving almost every single time after we have a good meal (which can be considered a weekly affair) – I crave for sour beverages!!
Anyway, the mojito was one huge cup but it turned out to be nice. Yupps, just nice. Nothing too strong for me liking. Slurp* but not too sure if it made it to my favourites list.
But oh man, it made me doubly full than ever.
The classic must! – suck the ribs!
It’s alot about appreciation of food between Vampy and I. Every anniversary, we always try to go to new places and our list of places that we’ve explored keep increasing together. Of coz we did our research before we decide on the place. These days, it seems like the amount of money spent doesnt matter so much anymore to him and he just order if he wants it or if he thinks i want it. It’s SO much money spent on (good) food if you were to really count.
It may seem like we’re always eating but we all have to eat 2-3 times per day..why is it so surprising that we have so much about food to share? But we do love our food! It’s scary how we become consumers of only middle range and above these days everytime we eat out. There’s still of coz times of fast food and probably yummy zichar with family. Oh and 33 months in, we still havent ate at a food court before. Tell me, is that good or bad?
I don’t wan to give you up
But I’m tired of the pull and push
I’m tired of the making up
Don’t you feel that you’ve had enough?
