Day 1: when Freedom Begins!!

Exams finished on last thursday for me! and Vampy was with me celebrating freedom! It was Timbre for me as i felt that the ambience there is more right. Live band sounds good! My first at the Substation branch.. I thought it would be bigger than the O School. Even though the rainy weather made the place cooling, the rainwater on the floor is quite a nuisance.

Timbre has new additions to its menu!

Drinks for the night was Sparkling Lychee wine for the lady and as usual, a Erdinger Dark Beer for the man. Vampy is understanding my taste for drinks better than i do. Unlike the past, nowadays i prefer really light and sweet drinks, hahas, Don’t ask me but i can feel like puking if i imagine the strong alcholic taste in my mouth. It just turns me off! I’m beginning to attribute it to the times when i still had to drink when i’m really full; that makes my stomach and mouth really uncomfortable!

We were for the usuals. Pepporonic Pizza over at Timbre is my favourite cause the essence is really there. But we tool a splizza and tried a new creation the chef had. Was a steak pizza and it wasnt as good as pepperoni!

okae, i wasn’t at my top condition coz i was mugging for 2 weeks plus!!! That has taken a toll on my skin:( Well anyway, the band that substituted Good Fellas for the night, COmmon People, had quite a good main singer. Like his vocals. But i don’t really like his choice of songs, mostly old but really popular songs. but why SO old songs? But anyway, was a good night chilling out! Breezy weather, good and alot of food and good singing!

Timely Timbre

It has been long since I blogged about more contemporary ongoing stuffs. Time to do that!

The trip to Timbre was timely for a depressing and busy week.. This time round, we were lucky that it had been a rainy day before that and in addition to that, Vampy drove up. Making the trip there much more easy. The breeze was much more stronger than the first.

There is an unspoken comfort with having the breeze and the skies when you’re feeling relatively down. (Other than the inconsiderate table who smoked incessantly behind us, everything was great. Thankfully, they left about 1hr later!)

Timbre: Pizzas day!

Vampy and I headed to Timbre after a failed one the week before with the CAC ladies and gentlemen.. A convenient trip to the one at Old School,which i think its a nice hide-out. A new hide-out ;D It took us a little effort to get there.The flight of stairs which is about 6 stories high on a hDB flat, before one can reach Old School.
Maybe we should drive up next time. hahas.

While vampy was busy looking for the exhibition by NUS’s CNM, i was busy fiddling around with my ” 10 adjusted to 2megapixel camera” hahas, well…that was a trial. (uh, for the whole night?!!!!) =x

Timbre at Old School was awesome. Sitting on the bar which one can look up and have the accompany of the skies – moon and stars. With the perfect complement of the light breeze AND the very familiar acoustic music.

The interior-wise was nothing exaactly special except for the relaxing mood it delivers. It is rustic and hence resembles just like a vacation.;p *dreamingdreamingdreammm*

The Lychee Martini which I had been yearning for over a week. Oh man, but i think the firsts are usually the best. I miss the one at Observatory Lounge at Meritus Mandarin… And a long stop after drinking quite frequently results in inability to hold my liquer well. Just one glass of this and im feeling it. ~~~

And the couple’s goal to timbre was none other than their thin crust pizza which were really nice. And vampy, my gourmet, said that he’s craving for it AGAIN!.

And vampy is always flashing in redness just with abit of drink and he’s nv gotten drunk before. good circulation of blood ;p

oh and thats the Pepperoni pizza. v nice.

and one wasnt enough…..

And the twins! Mexicana topped with Tortila chips and Spicy cajun! Two …it’s tooo much.

Pepperoni is still the best though!

And coincidentally, we have ‘ACOUSTIC TRIP’ with us that night. The band which we had at HardRockCafe during Xmas eve. Hohoo. yea, i couldnt recognise them at first unlike vampy. But i recognise them when they started singing! hahas.

had a very wonderful night with vampy that night, to be able to chill with him under the stars. to be able to enjoy together – good music, drinks and good food!

Vampy is sweet. He bought me happy food when I was utterly upset and crying away after quarrels from home. He fetched me away from my unhappy moments for days. He gave me a hug when I need it. Merci, vampy ;D

I know im foolishing illogical when I lumped people together when Im angry. I get angry with people who are related v closely and may those who are present. But sometimes i wonder if angry is the right term to use..coz i think i just dont feel like talking when im angry or sad.

Nevertheless, i always feel fortunate to know that there’s someone out there saying that he dont wanna see me unhappy. wants me to always stay happy.

Im doubly motivated to go out these days with mynewbaby. hehs. Im extremely satisfied with the results it has delivered. The Marco mode was awesome. And all of the above pics were taken in only 2mp. Right, vampy laughed at me at the end of the day when he knew abt that. ;(. yea. I wouldnt be so silly anymore. Time to set it to the maximum. hahas.
